Misses and Mystery is the songwriting/performing partnership of Rob Veith (vocals, guitar, bass, and programming) and Eshinee Smallwood (vocals, percussion, and keyboards). They have performed together as part of other bands and have released three albums independently. Diverse in their musical influences and erudite in their songwriting, a typical Misses and Mystery album features a mix of traditional folk, psychedelic rock, and jazzy improvisation.

Lyrics
Calico Jack Racham was drinking at his leisure, trying to think he might find to hide his treasure. 30 years of piracy and running slaves to Seaside; now he knew his crew would find it if he didn't hide it all. Piles of gold he'd gathered, jewels and gems he'd lifted, even a few artifacts once used by the Gifted; he woke up in the morning, hung over from the night. He knew he'd safely hid it, but where he couldn't recall. CHORUS Start him off with rum, follow it with bourbon, bring him then a grog, then another bourbon, then a gin and wine, mixed equally together; then he may recall where he hid that blasted treasure. Calico Jack Racham had trouble with his drinking. Usually completely it stopped him in his thinking. He'd wake up in the morning with nothing to remember, only if he drank again, the memory came back. Last I heard, he'd offered some remuneration to a soul who'd aid him in his inebriation, to listen to his stupor and take down his dictation, to track down his old treasure and put it in a sack. (chorus)
