I gave you a lot of time
To tell me what time it was
I offered the moon
You brought me down to earth
I'd give you a penny for your thoughts
A pennys all I got
And thats not the worst
I still remember
The things I used to dream about
So I can hang on to
The things I used to be
Some day if I find you
Will you be hiding
Or would you come to me
Hold on pretty baby
Things will change
just maybe
The world will spin
In your direction too
I know it's time you're leaving
But I can't help believing
That some day
You'll find what you know is true
I'd like to paint the town
But they probably wouldn't like my atmostphere
I'm going to paint this wall
'cause there's a spot that always catches my eye
It reminds me of teardrops falling
And the sounds of someones calling
That made you cry
Hold on pretty baby
Things will change
just maybe
The world will spin
In your direction too
I know it's time you're leaving
But I can't help believing
That some day
You'll find what you know is true
Hi Chas,
I grabbed a listen off Larry's critique page.
I love this tune! Your voice has a rich, natural tone. The simplicity of the guitars really bring the voice out front too!
Great harmony. Personally, I think my best work comes with a simple production. But I tend to "over" produce. I've listened to a lot of you songs, and you don't seem to have that problem. I'm sure if you decide to add more "bells and whistles", it'll be great too! Well done!
