Story behind the song
Young Desiree overhears her parents Roman and Patrice arguing. Roman tells Patrice he can't slow down in his work because he doesn't want to lose inertia. Desiree misunderstands and goes up to her room in tears. She thinks "inertia" is another woman. She sings the song to Inertia.
Lyrics
Desiree: Dear Inertia, he says he needs you And now I fear that you will never set him free. Wont you answer my plea - send him back home to me. Dear Inertia, I guess he loves you So you must be much more beautiful than me. Wont you answer my plea send him back home to me Dear Inertia, Cant you share him Mother often cries her weary self to sleep How we live in misery - send him back home to me. Dear Inertia, he says he needs you And now I fear that you will never set him free Wont you answer my plea - send him back home to me. Dear Inertia, I guess he loves you So you must be much more beautiful than me Wont you answer my plea send him back home to me Dear Inertia, Cant you share him. Mother often cries her weary self to sleep. How she lives in misery - send him back home to me.
