BURNING INNOCENCE A cruel wind washed upon the shore Brought forth requiems of not long parted souls Who in their absence shall never learn to see the joys of pain and innocence are one with cruelty A twist of fate, and overbearing obsession with cold veins twitching, evil spies the crimson tide. Like a stake sharp at both ends piercing the soul control and power Has purged them of all sanity, vanquished vy the law Born of passion for flesh and the lust of a Utopia Drowning in their own innocence Release them from the cell known as society Free as the red skies above Still they search for the beast that has swallowed the key. The flock shall be led astray to be torn by the dark hounds of evil. "There isn't anyone to help you. Only me. And I'm the beast" As light from the impending dusk, darkness seeped through the jewelled sky, filling the mid with images of serpents amidst the white roses of innocence. The loss of a withering humanity Like Lucretia, unpure and in lust, Slaves to a stagnant cruelty is it the beast, or in god we trust Enslaved to the flames of the end, Burning inferno so close yet so far, Turns the essence of life to grey As the embers of innocence fade away.
