Improv 3 - Going Away Reprise

This is the final part in the series of short acoustic improvs that I did back in 1995. This is the only one where I used a preconceived melody and improvised around it. The main melody comes from my song Going Away. Hence, the "reprise".
I brought Endeavour to life in 1995 when I recorded 9 of my compositions to DAT. I finally made a CD master in 2002 complete with liner notes and artwork. For various reasons, Endeavour was dormant until 2007. Then, took another relatively brief haitus until the summer of 2009. Since then, I've been doing some serious work on new songs. I hope to have 8-10 new songs ready for the public sometime in the next 200 years. ;^)

Story behind the song
The main song, Going Away, was composed in memory of my Grandfather's departure from this world back in 1993. I liked the melody so much, I decided to use it again in this short improv. As with all of my acoustic piano songs recorded in 1995, it was played on a Baldwin spinet upright.
