Lyrics
This is my story, my name is Julius You might know me from the battles in Dyrrachium and Pharsalus a roamin Roman, 44 BC I came, I saw, I conquered everything before me But one day I was alone, in my garden of tranquility a mist descended, what happened next wasn't real to me a flash of light and then an apparation unfurled a man emerged, wearing garments that were not from this world I was frozen to my seat he said "I come in Peace" "I'm from the future, you must be Ceasar, my names Mink-C" he explained how he had stumbled on a secret time machine and how he had read some history and travelled back in time to warn me how my allies were conspiring now to kill their friend how at the meeting of the senate in Pompey my life would end how Brutus and Cassius only saw me as tyrannical they wanted to take my place at the pinnacle daggers were getting sharpened, to do the deed i should really believe, i should really take heed next thing he said "I've got to leave but do take care" another cloud of smoke, his time machine went spinning in the air was I hallucinating? Was I losing my mind? But my wife Calpurnia couldn't see the funny side I worked out, steam rooms and roman baths could wait spent my time building strength just to change my fate hatched a plot to try and switch this crazy situation And so I went to the senate knowing assassins were waiting... (Hail Ceasar! Hail Ceasar!) Well the day has come, don my fanciest gear I'm heading to the pompey senate with my heart full of fear i got my gold plated blade under my coat for insurance sycophants in the place offering their reassurance hail ceasar! yeah yeah, okay but my minds on other things in the heat of the day i could see the plot thicken, the first act in the play gaius trebonius kept marc anthony away i guess i'm on my own, so I sat in my chair Tullius came up to me, could see the devil in his stare With a grasping hand he yanked my purple robe as a sign well the seconds passed slow, it was about that time I feel a blow to my side, my man Casca had stuck me At that moment the sheer size of the my task had struck me There must have been at least 60 cats with daggers I jump out of my chair but feel the pain and start to stagger dodging the blows, I reveal my blade utilised the fighting skills the tool of my trade swinging just like a madman, deflecting the attacks a few blades caught me but i'm giving it back i'm still on my feet, devil bodies on the floor their tiny daggers nothing to my conquerors sword then i'm confroned with a person that I viewed as a friend Marcus Brutus held his dagger didn't try to pretend I whispered "You Too, My Child?", didn't need to shout Then with a swoop and a slice, I took that bastard out With a tear in my eye seeing the bodies before me I rose, my hardest battle but another victory I am the king of kings, killing me is absurd! Then the room filled with smoke, and a vision appeared It was the man from before, I can't thank him enough I want to hail you as my savior, the Minkus C-us You showed me the way, although I had fear within me You warned me, I took action now my people couldn't kill me
