Lake Fork Verne and his banjo. Original country and Americana songs. Songs of yesteryear, growing up during the great depression 1930's and the way things are
Just me and my banjo...writing and singing about how things used to be long ago in the 30;s and 40's and how those experiences affect today. I started out wanting to get on record these stories and songs for my grandchildren; but after doing it for a while, others have expresses interest so we are recording and putting them out there.

Story behind the song
Kids growing up in the thirties and forties, looked forward to the Community Club meetings during the school year. This is what I tried to describe in this song, growing up during the depression years in the midwest.
