Comment Share
The Delts is proud to introduce a new member His name is Trenton and he's eleven years old. He's been singing karaoke for a while, but this is his first shot at an original song. The vocal melody and phrasing are all his own take on the song.

Story behind the song
I had recorded Trenton on some karaoke songs and was impressed, so I wrote this song to see what he could do with an original song. I gave him the lyrics and let him listen to the song, he came up with the melody line and phrasing all on his own, and we think he did a pretty darn good job!
Lyrics
She's the girl that sits across from me in history With the pretty smile and those big blue eyes I don't know why, it's just a mystery But what I feel took me by surprise She smiled at me and it was all over I fell for her like a ton of lead Gotta find a way to tell her that I love her But I'm thinkin' with my heart and not my head Every time I try, the words just run and hide I stutter and my face turns red She looks at me and laughs and I just want to die Why can't I get those three words said She met me after class and let me walk her home And along the way I tried to let her know Exactly how I feel, but I'm still new at love And my mouth just wouldn't let those three words go [Guitar Solo] Every time I try, the words just run and hide I stutter and my face turns red She looks at me and laughs and I just want to die Why can't I get those three words said
