My music is a collage of world themes and sounds. It is often peaceful and it sounds like it would belong in a movie soundtrack.
I was born in Logan Utah. When I was three my family moved to Olympia Washington. My parents introduced me to their antique upright piano when I was five years old, and my love for the piano began. When I was ten my parents separated and I moved to Seattle, Washington with my mother and away from the piano. The next year I was given my first keyboard and I began to compose my first melodies. When I was 14 I moved back in with my dad and was reunited with the piano. In the years that followed I continued to create music on the piano. In early 2000 I got my first Roland synthesizer and began exploring different world music themes. In the ensuing years I expanded my repertoire and produced sixteen CDs. In 2005 my mother gifted me my very own piano. My music can best be described as melodic, emotional, and varied. My other passion is fine art. Since I was old enough to hold a pencil I was drawing mountains and nature landscapes. My band name is derived from my love of painting. All cover art is from my original paintings. The painting on the cover of 'What it Is to Love' was inspired by a trip to the Olympic Rain Forest in Washington State.

E is for excellent, diito what Anna Lang said, the door should be banged on for this as film music. Indeed John Holgates comment is taken seriously, absolutly, bravato!! Takes me away to that spacial place that all good movies do. Congrads Ian a super production no doubt. ktf L&P Always Debra aka ms 007 @ OUR SC Stations :)

Great composition Ian - perfect for a movie soundtrack especially one with a fight scene. Lots of tension and emotion flowing through this. Great variety throughout. The second 'score' is a great compliment to the first. The atmosphere is excellent. 5 stars.

Another beautiful bit of music that really needs to be on the big screen. Jerry Bruckheimer needs to hear this stuff. or perhaps the directors/producers of things like 'crouching tiger', 'hero' or 'house of flying daggers'. Send a copy to Dean Semler too - 'Dances with wolves'. I listen to this and I see epic landscapes and exotic tales. Seriously fine music.
Terrific, epic & atmospheric.. As usual Ian, this time you have almost manged to paint on air, set aside painting on water.. really marvelous music.. Congratulations..
