Story behind the song
Genesis 22:13 "Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son." I heard Pastor Adrian Rogers preach one time on this passage about Abraham and Isaac. He went on to relate that the same mountain ridge where this took place was the same ridge where many years later God would, in a similar situation, also provide a Way out. The way out wouldn't be provided for His Son though, it would be provided for us. This song is dedicated to Pastor Rogers for his world wide encouragement to so many people, and more importantly, to his Lord, my Lord and hopefully your Lord.
