Lyrics
The world was going end that year With a bible time band prophets of doom Reverend Miller was clear time to disband pray for the groom waited for the bride to appear Flowers in hand ready to bloom all good people sincere the common man Under a harvest moon The heavens did not disappear But the faithful still revere Don’t let the world end too soon Hold it steady , I’m not ready I ‘ll hide from this gloom Hold the wind, I’ll try again Don’t let the world end too soon Hold it steady , I’m not ready I know it’s late afternoon Hold the wind, I’ll try again Heavens gate on a comets tail Mr applewhites hands Open a pharoh’s tomb Reaching for the holy grail A spaceship umanned Their lives consumed A Lost souls fire sale Could not understand Would not presume Left the planet on a vapor trail Nothing but sand And a sonic boom The aliens did not appear But the faithful still revere

Ha Apocalypse always around the corner. The bomb shelters of the 60's hiding under the school desks preparing for the bomb as a safety measure in school. Who came up with this stuff? I love this song , always the way I thought!

Hey Dave, Came by to say hi and have a listen. Your tunes are always so interesting, I mean that in a good way, BTW...lol! I agree the intro is very compelling. The lyrics are great as well. You have some very cool touches in here throughout the arrangement. I often wonder where you get your inspiration from. I still say I'd recognize one of your tunes anywhere!!! Very cool all in all! Hope all is well with you and you're enjoying your summer. My hubby and I are going to see Paul McCartney in concert on Saturday. Only Canadian date this year and it's in my city!!! So We're pretty excited! Other than that, you've heard my latest one already, but it seems there's always something in the pipe-line. Have a good one!! Amy

Hi, Dave. Some of your best lyrics here - I wish I could write like this. That gorgeous guitar opening - wopw, I would have liked to hear more of that tremolo. The organ in the background is a perfect texture to work against the scratchy guitars. "The faithful still revere" - what a great line. This is a catchy chorus with those super lyrics holding the listener's attention. Very, very well done. Yes, SoundClick seems to have been abandoned. I haven't been on much, I'm too angry over what our government is doing and the Pres. out there apologizing to everyone and his brother for being Americans. OK, not here... Johnny

The first 2 notes had me compelled! Love the guitar tones and style. The bongos sold me absolutely from the get go...then it only gets better! Love the regae rhythm and your lead guitars thoughout. Great spot on vocals and harmonies...wish I could do that! 3rd time around...awesome bass lines..and again that guitar tone and style...love this! Awesome work my friend!

Sounding good on my headphones Dave. Went looking for lyrics and they werent there. Anyway. Liked the bass walk down you have. Quite a story would like to read those lyrics. Trade mark guitar licks. Rythmically ok to my ears. Nice work.
