The first scene of the second act starts in dormitory of University of Moscow .

One of the students Rudy has a discussion with his friend Volodia about life on campus. This debate naturally turns to food and thus to a sharp but merrily aimed critic at the system that treats
some big shots from above better than the pore students.
Nadiezda , big, voluptuous girl with black rim glasses, who has a crush on Misha, is having her cover story, that Misha has the sure answer to her problem in agricultural field. Every body knows about her crush on Misha and one of the students, a Czech named Zdenek is taking his moment to tease her .Zdenek himself a ladya€™s man is oozing his charm, but Nadia promptly dismisses him as a bully and with a warning that some day it will be called a sexual harassment she storms out. Students laugh and now is finally the diner time and also a time for campus anthem. Then all zoom out of the dorm.
