Lyrics
WINK OF AN EYE Verse 1A Just passing the time here Watching the play Whats on your mind, dear, today? You say youre lonely Youre so afraid What can I do; what can I say? Verse 1B Here we go again I dont know again Out on a limb Ill take it slow again You just say when CHORUS Come on and sit here beside me Life is a bird on a wing Everythings made of it Dont be afraid of it Nobody knows what it brings With all the pain and misfortune Weve got our reasons to cry But dont miss a bit of it Take a big hit, cause its Gone in the wink of an eye Verse 2A Youve had enough, hon You just want to cry You feel dead inside Yeah, thats a tough one But you can relax I keep all that stuff under my hat Verse 2B I could go on and on Right through the dawn Until the days end But youre really out there now Can I get an amen? CHORUS Come on and sit here beside me Life is a bird on a wing Everythings made of it Dont be afraid of it Nobody knows what it brings With all the pain and misfortune Weve got our reasons to cry But dont miss a bit of it Take a big hit of it Gone in the wink of an eye Bridge: Look at me, here I am Who am I preaching to you As if I know We can reach up to the sky If we just believe that its so Instrumental section: Verse Part B Intro Verse 3A If youre inclined, gal To being my girl, well Im just the kind to give it a whirl What could go wrong, pal With both of us blind now When we get lost whatll we find? Verse 3B Thats just the start of it The best part of it Is anything goes Were the heart of it Wouldnt you know? Repeat Chorus

Fantastic MR 49!!
Hank this is a great piece and I kind of don´t know why you call it a DEMO because to me this sounds rather finished. First of all you have a wonderful and down to earth poem. Yes indeed, it´s just a wink of the eye in the end! Great rhtyhmic and tonal changes here, you really know how to play this guitar, and also how to record it. Sounds great. Your voice seems to treat the lyrics just as it should be. There might be some minor pitch issues here, but hey: Think of Bob Dylan, did he ever care for appropriate intonation? And does he have an audience. What I´m talking about is originality, and you got tons of it here. So, honestly, just quit calling it a DEMO and in my view we´re all set.... :D Congrats, great song!
