David and Mike started playing music together and exchanging ideas in July of 2008.
It was always noted that the idea of blending Mike's hardcore metal guitars with David's soft alt-popish keyboards and vocals would make for something quite interesting.
Originally self naming themselves "Resonant Solution" they began recording their first album, "A Minor Inconvenience", a collection of soft alt pop to alternative music.
Nearing completeion of the first album, the music began to evolve to a more modern alternative rock, causing the duo to rethink their approach.
The original name was no longer relative to the music, thus the name had to be changed to something more modern. They finally settled on "Chained To Stone".
Much of the music recorded up until that point had to be abandoned. The songs they voted to keep had to be rewritten to match their new style and sound.
Chained to Stone is currently working on several songs including the remake of "Reckless" from the original album, as well as some new material.
