Artist picture
Lake Fork Verne and his banjo. Original country and Americana songs. Songs of yesteryear, growing up during the great depression 1930's and the way things are
Just me and my banjo...writing and singing about how things used to be long ago in the 30;s and 40's and how those experiences affect today. I started out wanting to get on record these stories and songs for my grandchildren; but after doing it for a while, others have expresses interest so we are recording and putting them out there.

Story behind the song
Got the thought from Emmet Fox's book (a favorite of mine), "Around the Year With Emmet Fox."
Lyrics
Double-Minded Man Copyright by: Verne Garrison May 5, 2009 Valley Park Mo Banjo tuned E, Capo 2 Key of E Double-Minded Man E A There is little hope for the double-minded man E He spends most of his life on the ropes, B7 Believing he is doing the best he can E Cause he is after-all a double minded man For awhile, things seem really, really fine Then a negative thought crashes thru Things begin to get a little out of line And the double minded man don't know what to do He finally sees, what was so unclear And opens the pages of the Good Book Its words drive away his fear A E And the double minded man has a better look.
