MUSICAL SERENITY. Music for Meditation & Serenity. This CD features Dhuni Tzadok and Roland Montijo. This CD falls under the new age music category.
Musical Serenity is the name of my new musical project and web page. I have a CD called "Music For Meditation and Serenity". This is music to chill out to. Something soothing for the soul. Something to help relieve the stress that builds in us. It is also good to fall asleep to and help transfer you to dreamland. I, Bob Holzner, play Keyboards, Percussion, Electronic Drums, Acoustic Snare Drum and some Chanting on this CD. Featured on this CD is Dhuni Tzadok who plays Sitars, Acoustic Guitars, Electric Guitar, Bass Guitar and Chanting. Also featured on this CD is Roland Montijo who plays Acoustic Midi Guitar Synthesizer, Electric Midi Guitar Synthesizers, Baroque Lutes and Cellos. I am in the process of finding someone to add Vocals on the song Flight Weaver and someone to add Native Flute to a few select songs. I have plans to add violin to the CD at some point as well. If you have stress and need to relax have a listen to my music and soothe your troubled soul. This CD falls under New Age category of music but I also compose music in the Progressive Rock and Jazz Fusion categories. You will also find some of my original music I composed for movie and/or game soundtracks using Cakewalk and Sonar computer software for composing music. I have much more in the works but need to convert these songs to the correct format for this site before I can upload them. I also include on this site some of the music I recorded with a couple of improvisational bands (Astral Travelers, Improv Edge Runner Band) I have been in over the years. You can also go to some of my other band sites at the following links. http://www.soundclick.com/asteraltravelers http://www.soundclick.com/surrealbanshee http://www.soundclick.com/theoriginalonyx I also uploaded a few Jazz Fusion songs I arranged and composed in 1996 using DoReMix software by Roland. I also use Cakewalk, Sonar 6 Producer software. I will soon be working with The Funky Guitarist (Rudy Ramos) on some new Jazz Fusion songs to be posted here when complete. There is one song that Rudy and myself put together some 20 years ago called The Picture Fusion Jam. I uploaded a copy of that song to my site. You can also hear it at The Funky Guitarist's site as well along with many other songs written by Rudy. http://www.soundclick.com/thefunkyguitarist God Bless. Bob Holzner

Story behind the song
The Original Onyx. James Latimer - Lead Guitar, & Vocals. Tony Wiese - Guitar, & Lead Vocals. Jack Mondlak - Keyboards. John Flannagan - Bass Guitar. Bob Holzner - Drums, & Percussion. This song was recorded during rehearsals at the Granada Theatre on the far north side of Chicago somewhere around August thru November in 1978. Sadly this theater has since been torn down and is now a parking garage. This song was written by Tony Wiese and was introduced when Glenn Spence was still the lead guitarist in the band. We played this tune at some of the earliest Parkside Inn shows with James Latimer in the band but was it was eventually dropped from the set being it did not fit in well with our more progressive rock style (I think this was the reason - many lost brain cells ago, lol). Recorded by Mike Mills with assistance from Phil Sypniewski.
