Black/Death Metal for the sick Line up: Void:bass, guitars, vocals K.I. : keyboards
Samas were founded in 2001 by Void as a one-man project, releasing the first demo "My Darkness", introducing classical black metal, strongly influenced by satyricon. In 2002 the singer Chaerilius joined and the second demo "The Children of Demise" was recorded, introducing a more frequent use of keyboards and pointing out the influence of classical composers like Schostakowitsch and Bach. During 2003 Samas gathered up a full line up and in 2004 the album "Though shall fear" was finished. More psychedelic, electronical and even a little jazzy. Before in 2007 Void cracked up the band for personal reasons, the EP "Mortal Addiction" showed some affinity to more rocking riffs and simpler structures. At that time Chaerillius had left the band and Void did all the vocals. In 2011, to the 10th anniversary of Samas, Void and K.I. ,the keyboardist, recorded a new EP "Incipit Samas" coming along a with rather a gloomy and haunting atmosphere, almost free from psychedelic experiments. For 2012 a full-length album is planned, the music has already been written... But the work has been postponed and most compositions thrown in the garbage can. Now its 2014, but thats how it has always been in Samas: For each song that has been released, there were 10 songs to be thrown away
