acoustic folk rock
Dave Stannard plays the acoustic guitar and sings, by himself, all on his own. While he sings and plays, he also dances around a lot and is good fun to watch. He calls this "a performance"; most people agree. His songs are actually written by him, and not others, usually. Sometimes the songs turn out quite catchy and people sing them in the bath or play them on local radio shows.

Lyrics
e-mail winging its way over to tell me that you're settled and the flat is looking shipshape the cat is out of customs but I don't give a damn cos I'm feeling free and easy jet can kiss my ass if you can break the speed of sound why can't I get my feet off the ground? Flying solo, stalling, falling failing, jumping bailing out I'm down here - I think I'll stay Fly through the blue sky the moment I reach you I know I'm alive Fly, we're spinning in style the moment I reach you I know I'm alive you moved in, moved me in a fine way, then you took off far away, moving home to mother I swore that I would follow any fool can file a flight plan a plan to cross the waters but I just crossed my fingers and now you're angry shake me out of my overwhelming fear of civil aviation load me up into the cannon, light blue touchpaper, and I will see you on the other side
