I grew up in the small town outside of Pittsburgh, PA called Renton.
At about the age of six my mother started me on classical guitar with Mr. Roseitti, a former artist in the Pittsburgh Symphony. I took many years of lessons from that fine man until teenage rebellion took over, after which I started to play rock guitar. My father bought me a Fender Stratocaster and I suddenly became Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix all in one.
At about age 12, my parents encouraged me to enter band and play the saxophone. I played in the band as 2nd chair sax until my senior year. That experience taught me quite a bit about arranging instruments to achieve a certain type of sound.
During the summer months of my junior and senior years in high school I entered guitar school in Duquesne University. Mainly a jazz school, Duquesne has an excellent music program that helped me to appreciate different types and styles of music. They also introduced me to MIDI and tone generators which, something that I didn't know then, would change the way I wrote music forever.
After High School I became involved with a pop rock band called Bloom of Youth where we played at many local bars and events.
I continued writing music in the mid 90's. In 2003, I joined TAXI and became proficient in writing songs for specific projects.
