The story of Laurel & Hardy began when they entered The Carribean Times talent contest held at the Bouncing Ball,London where they came second.
After submitting a tape full of lyrical topics to Mr John Dub Vendor,they were quickly signed to Fashion Records.
"Your Nicked" c/w "Tell Her Mi Sorry", was the cockney debut recording for Fashion Records using the "Old Kent Road" riddim.
"Clunk Click" was to be recorded on the "Unmetered Taxi" Riddim but due to the duo signing to CBS records, an original riddim was used taking Laurel & Hardy to the UK national pop charts.
Many TV apperances then followed."The Tube","No.73" Show",Tiswas" to name a few.
Also They recorded sessions for the late John Peel,Tony Blackburn,Kid Jensen,Ranking Miss P and Lepkie of then pirate station DBC.
They supported and worked with Culture Club,UB40,Benjiman Zephiniah,PigBag,Musical Youth,One Blood,Dexey's Midnight Runners,Winston Reedy,Jean Adebambo,The Belle Stars,Gregory Issacs and many more.
During their stay with CBS records,"Lots of Loving"c/w "Wan Fe Rave" was released.
During a tour of the UK and europe with their band " The Bowler Hats",,the album "What A Bargain" was released on Upright Records followed by "Dangerous Shoes"c/w "Write Me A Letter for their own Studio Fun records.
After appearing on the Channel 4 comedy show, "No Problem" in 84 the duo hit the road again backed by Sweet & Bitter.
Last known release "Johnny's Won The Lottery",c/w "Vegetarian Cheese" off their second album "Another Fine Mess" Studio Fun Records.
