Story behind the song
Eclipse of the Moon Click here Last night I went out under the stars, played my flute and watched as the shadow of the earth moved across the surface of the moon. It eventually blotted out the crystal white full moon orb from the sparkling sky. The stars in the sky seemed even brighter than they did with no moon glow to compete with their twinkling brilliance. You could still see the moon faintly and it sort of had a dark pale pink hue that is called the red moon. When the moon was first starting to fall in the shadow of the earth you could see a slight distortion of the moon because the light was passing through the earths atmosphere and being refracted. At one time it almost looked like three moons layered slightly off center. As I stood in awe I played my flute and watched the beauty of the night in all of natures splendor, my friends, the dew on the grass, the flute singing and echoing through the silence in the darkness. It was a truly a magical night and a mystical experience to witness the Eclipse of the Moon that happens so rarely. Spirit john de boer We all have a song inside us it tells us who we are. Lyrics
Moon Maidens By the ocean the Moon Maidens live. Take a moment and listen to the voice deep within our own souls...a haunting sound that reminds us of a love lost a long time ago. Something haunts me about the song it always has. I really don't know why, but I play by the Ocean a lot at night. It is like I can’t resist, but yet I am scared of something in the song of the sea. It calls out to me and I have to answer. There are many ancient legends of a song that Sirens and Mermaids would sing at night by the sea that were so lovely that the men in their ships would hear and be so drawn to the melody. They would crash their ships on the rock as they searched for the love that it promised. One night in the full moon light I heard this song as I walked along the beach and I have never been able to forget it. Listen as the melody beckons you as the mistress of the sea calls.
