Acoustic fingerstyle singer-songwriter; kind of a mashup of Leonard Cohen, Nellie McKay, Stuart Davis, Jason Mrasz, with a little Martin Simpson thrown in. Working on my CD, that I hope will be out this Spring: "The Suburban Book of the Dead."

Story behind the song
Anyone who has almost, but not quite, started a conversation with someone who looked at them and said 'hi' but turned out to be talking on their bluetooth headset knows exactly what I'm singing about. . . .A very weird feeling. It used to be that when you saw someone talking to themselves you could be pretty sure there was a half-way house somewhere nearby. Now you can't tell the doctors from the patients. . . .
Lyrics
CELL PHONE PSYCHO I was taking a walk to the shopping mall. When a pretty girl smiled and caught my eye. She said How come you never give me a call? Why cant we give it another try? Who could she be? An old high school friend? How could I forget that face and eyes? I was about to say lets try again But she kept on talking and walked on by. She was just another cell phone psycho. Conversin with a person that you just dont see. Just another cell phone psycho. When her ears in the receiver and she talks you cant believe her All the doctors and the patients look the same to me. I sat down at my favorite restaurant And the waitress said honey, what you want? I said give me a plate of your beef stew But it wasnt me she was talking to. She said Can you believe what the doctor said? That its a miracle Im not dead And if I sneeze those germs will spread But I just cant stop, Cause I need, the bread. She was just another cell phone psycho Conversin with a person that you just dont see. Just another cell phone psycho Did we have a conversation? Is it my imagination? All the doctors and the patients look the same to me. I had a date with the sister of a model That you might have seen on MTV I took her home and dimmed the lights So I could hear but I could not see. I whispered Tell me what you like Some music or a glass of wine. But a little bell like William Tell Told me she had fallen for another line. . . . She was just another cell phone psycho Conversin with a person that you just dont see. Just another cell phone psycho Did we have a conversation? Is it my imagination? All the doctors and the patients look the same to me.
