A simple heartfelt tribute on the passing of a friend.
acoustic folk country lai
Lyricist on an endless quest for the perfect melody.
I'm afraid I can't claim to be a band, although I have been known to jump on a bandwagon from time to time. No, I'm just a humble lyricist who is in absolute awe of the composers who have stumbled into my life and bothered to wrap a melody around some of my words. I've been attempting to legitimately call myself a lyricist since I was about 14 years old. Have a listen, won't you, and let me know if I qualify.

Lyrics
The Old Cobber (AKA Ode to Graham) by Wyman Griffith, Greg C. Brown & Andy Dinnell Graham's gone that good old guy We'll never see him more But he will wait our coming Where the rain no longer pours No storm clouds rise nor hail stones fall No bitter winds do blow And we'll hear his music When we get close I know His harp will forever ring true As he teaches the angels the blues. While darkness descends, His legions of friends Bid the old cobber adieu. For music never goes away If it comes from a true heart It just sings in another place And it's not so very far It's only that it's through the veil Our eyes too blind to see And I know ol' Graham is there And he waits for you and me
