I like your approach to chord structure and rhythm; I don't know if the distortion is the sound you were looking for, but it adds to the dissonance of the chord structure. Have you considered open chording to polish this song.

The guitar is raw and passionate, but the recording is "clipping" badly, making it difficult to listen to.

Hey Andrew, nice and dreamy acoustic piece; very well played. On the tech side, there is a bit distortion, perhaps the signal was to hot (check levels when recording) ... (look who is talking about distortion :D).
