Acoustic rock and folk rock with country, blues, and American Songbook influences.
Formerly "Dr. C and the Stratocats," I'm now on a solo career as "Dr. C," but I had to change my stage name here because someone else had already claimed it. My music strives for melody above all else; I strive to make my songs memorable, so you can whistle a tune immediately. I see melody as the element most lacking in contemporaryr music. I love Sinatra and the Beatles, Gordon Lightfoot, Paul Simon, anyone who can write a memorable "tune."

Story behind the song
One of my "divorce" songs after the end of my first marriage, making pain into a farewell song.
Lyrics
You'll Be Going When You Go I kicked a tin can down the street It rattled in the gutter like some bones on a metal sheet The sky was ashen like some face I saw upon a dead man in a hospital in space Chorus: You'll be going when you go You'll be knowing when you know Ten thousand memories in tow You'll be going when you go Five toy soldiers flecked in blood Were playing Beatles' remakes on a stage out in the mud Voices whining, limbs askew Their music more harmonious than any I made with you Chorus Long I labored to love you well While you lounged in the bathtub and the house just went to hell So Sayonara, good-bye, doll I'll think of you whenever I see laundry in the hall Chorus
