Story behind the song
Last winter, Frankie and I were in a wrestling roleplay fed (yes, we're lame, fuck off) as our main characters...and then we also had a little side project no one knew about...
"He's Shawn, I'm Hunter." We were D-Generation X, the old school version, with our own new school spin on it. Man, we fuckin' pissed people off, it was cool as shit. Well, we happened to be feuding with Frankie (weird for him, huh?) and his tag partner...and they did a guest spot on "The Purple Show" - Twiztid's Web show. So, as DX, we devised a parody RP where we were on "The Orange Hour."
So that's where the name itself is derived from. This past summer, June 2003 to be exact, we recorded "The Orange Hour: Episode I" over the course of a weekend and then Frankie eventually edited it together on a crappy lil computer program that does that stuff. At that time, though, we had no theme song.
Halloween rolled around and we decided it was time to film again...so we devised a theme song because every show needs a song and then filmed about two hours (maybe more) of raw footage throughout the evening of Beggar's Night. Frankie and I then spent countless hours editing that footage, but we eventually came out with "The Orange Hour: Episode II."
Future episodes: "Episode III" should be filmed around Christmas time, "Episode IV" should be the Spring Break edition, and "Episode V" will be the one-year anniversary show!
