Story behind the song
It was based on a true story nik & mark were late driving to work and got pulled over for clipping a red light. Its about the irony of life and how unlikely the police would turn up by chance if you were being assaulted on the street. We were late for work and it was annoying. The song sounds very angry & anti establishment protest song but it was really about general injustice and irony in life and how we have too shrug it off. Its also about how when you try to do the right things in life but it has other plans for you.!
Lyrics
Driving down the high street just the other day, when I saw a policeman comi'n down my way, I knew he'd stop me before I reached my destination, and I would be the subject of an investigation.
