In A Horse Field

Stig, Sal and Carp went camping in a horse field in PA. Just an excuse to drink beer, eat unhealthy food and complain around the campfire. Lyrics by Sal Mazzurco.
Artist picture
raw ragged garage rock with brilliant lyrics
A dusty left handed axe strangler cranking out raw ragged riffs from the prairie of Nebraska. Even the tornadoes run from mournful wailing of his tortured guitar. And that voice - it can bring down a hawk from 300 yards.

Story behind the song
Sal Mazzurco wrote the words to this song about our most recent annual camping trip.
Lyrics
Went up to the mountains To have myself some fun Lookin’ for R&R with some of my old chums Met em up in a horse field In the third week of May Cold rain and howling winds couldn’t keep us away Carp had a blow torch big as a TV Sparked it up to light his stoge and burned off his goatee He had high blood pressure, checked it twice a day Exercise and low fat diet would wait for another day. (chorus) Set up a shelter, keep it dry and in one piece Mix up a meal, make it heavy on the grease Steel rain and wind storms kept us chilled to the bone Brother Bob and Alice provided the comforts of home They heard a shriek in the distance, made the hillside shake they turned around to see old Stig Running like a girl from a snake Drank our beer, smoked our stoges, had a great time Doing everything we could to keep Carp from his wine. Joba Chamberlain joined the boys for their weekend play with Plastic bags on his feet too help keep the wet away I tried to teach him how to read music scales but I would have rather blinded myself with 6-inch rusty nails (chorus) Set up a shelter, keep it dry and in one piece Mix up a meal, make it heavy on the grease Steel rain and wind storms kept us chilled to the bone Brother Bob and Alice provided the comforts of home
