I've been playing music since I discovered the piano at age 3. While playing solo in the recording environment, I also play rock with "The Buffalo Joe Band", a decades-old band based in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

Story behind the song
On the foggy morning of October 11th, 2002, I left for an all-day conference in Madison, Wisconsin. Fall colors were peaking, so I decided to take the "backroads". As I left my home amidst the sounds of sirens, and pulling over frequently for emergency vehicles, it became apparent something tragic was unfolding. Just before I left, on the Highway I would otherwise have taken, 50 vehicles collided in a small area, taking 10 souls in the process, most of whom lived within a few miles of home. This song is one of meditation over the lives lost, and the miracle that mine had been saved.
