Acoustic rock and folk rock with country, blues, and American Songbook influences.
Formerly "Dr. C and the Stratocats," I'm now on a solo career as "Dr. C," but I had to change my stage name here because someone else had already claimed it. My music strives for melody above all else; I strive to make my songs memorable, so you can whistle a tune immediately. I see melody as the element most lacking in contemporaryr music. I love Sinatra and the Beatles, Gordon Lightfoot, Paul Simon, anyone who can write a memorable "tune."

Story behind the song
Musing from my deck overlooking the Pacific in San Clemente, the chord pattern I'd been playing with gave birth to words, finally.
Lyrics
Make Me Your Man (B7/D) Lying on the beach at sunset a single seagull glides above Waves are falling on their brothers and Ia€™m in love When I look into your iris I see a thousand sparkling stars like the gold glinting on Helen in the bars Make me your man, I pray Make me your man Ia€™m just waiting for the day when we can lie down in the sand. When the nightingale sings sonnets on my balcony I lie swinging gently in my hammock in the sky Everything Ia€™ve ever wanted like the perfect Christmas morn makes me want to pierce your body like a thorn Make me your man, I pray Make me your man Ia€™m just waiting for the day when we can lie down in the sand.
