a kind of funk song about living the life in south louisiana ...
Lyrics
Calling out from south louisiana
ain't never left and i don't want to go
i love my people in acadiana
i know the boudreaux's and thibodeaux's
we work hard in south louisiana
we play harder when we can
when the weekend comes you know we take to the water
and have ourselves a little crawfish jam
we do the swamp stomp
nonk john is gettin' it on
we do the swamp stomp
lovin and livin sah say bon say bon
ain't seen no voodoo but i been to a treater
fire in the night when the canefields burn
we hunt and fish and we eat alligator
and when the music plays you know we got to swing and turn
we do the swamp stomp
nonk john is gettin' it on
we do the swamp stomp
lovin and livin sah say bon say bon
we do the swamp stomp...
repeat chorus and fade
Awsome song. I especially like the funky rythm. I even liked the little bit of zydeco influence you have going on here, and I don't usually like zydeco. Production values are great. Throw in a couple of female backing vocalists and this song would really kill. Makes me want to visit LA.
