Story behind the song
As a sufferer of psoriatic arthritis and diabetes, and with family members with MS and Lupus, I wrote the song as a tribute to them and to inform of the weird way the body attacks itself.
Lyrics
When will this fever end I´ve been in bed for days, I never felt so ill the sweats and the cramps, I get so hot but feel a stone cold chill the doctor has no time for me, just stay home and rest you'll see, a cure that will never come, because my cells are running crazy ... It's autoimmune, I'm autoimmune Body fights against itself, the white cells pump, but they don't help, my body's turning inside out, the pain is searing, but I'm fearing, no relief will ever come, will this battle ever be won, the pain is searing, but I'm fearing, that no relief will ever come ... It's autoimmune (it's a problem, it's an issue) I'm autoimmune. When will this fever end I´ve been in bed for days, I never felt so ill the sweats and the cramps, I get so hot but feel a stone cold chill the doctor has no time for me, just stay home and rest you'll see, a cure that will never come, because my cells are running crazy ... It's autoimmune (it's a problem, it's an issue) I'm autoimmune.
