Electronica with a little bit of everything else thrown in.
My older work is mostly MIDI based, 99% composed with a mouse by clicking notes onto a digital score. My newer work is more mixed-media, including both fairly standard MIDI work as well as recorded sections from acoustic and electric instruments.

Story behind the song
I read a book called "Fractals in Music: Introductory Mathematics for Musical Analysis" and thought I'd apply some of the new concepts I was reading about. This is mostly an odd-meter piece, using 5/4 and 3/4. The 5/4 sections are probably rather unsettling due to the way the motives behave. The main theme emerged from a series of short motives put through various transpositions and other alterations consistent with what I was reading. I wasn't all that happy with the resulting orchestration; I may redo this one at some point, since currently it would take 2 pianos in some sections.
