The Glass Poets - lyricists / song writers We, The Glass Poets Lyricists Team are, Douglas W. White (owner/founder/lyricist/rhythm guitar) of California, Barbara Adkins (lyricist)of Florida and Michael A. Bradshaw (co - founder/lyricist,vocals,piano,drums,lead) of Alabama. Our unique story is WE HAVE NEVER MET IN PERSON. All of our material is written via emails, phone conversations. Once a solid lyrics structure is agreed upon, as all 3 of us are musicians, one of us will lay down an original acoustic guitar/piano track. We do not consider ourselves as a band but instead STORYTELLERS. Once all of the tracks are recorded Douglas and Micheal then engineer them into song format the best they can. Due to the economy and also the geographic distance between us we cannot afford studio time so we use home recording programs such as Tascam, Mixcraft, Majixs and Adobe to self produce our material. The Glass Poets Discology: 1: Spirits Of Adventure(country, country rock, western movie soundtrack theme) 2: Stories Of Today & Gone Yesterdays (country, country/pop crossover) 3: Life Is Not For Granted (inspirational, contemporary christian) 4: Garage Sale (country, country rock) 5: Move To Higher Ground (inspirational, contemporary christian) 5 original songs written and performed by Micheal - 5 songs by The Glass Poets 6: Untameable (rock, southern rock) a collaboration cd between The Glass Poets (USA) and Internal Dealin (Great Briton) Kerry Harrison & Chris Guy 7: The Warmth Of Christmas - An Indie Artists Compilation (christmas) 10 indie artists from throughout USA & Canada with 14 original, fresh, homegrown Christmas songs. Story behind the song
a crazy old moonshiner
Lyrics
Ole man Boonie lived in the hills He drank his Shine but he wouldn`t take pills People thought he was crazy as a Loone Cause he would wonder around an old oaktree Singing a song about a birdie and me And he always tried to remember his memory. chorus--- But he had a little woman that he called ole hag She had two teeth and she dressed in rags But she`s the only one that understood his mind That being in love meant being free You keep life simple and it shall be A crazy little man in the hills of Carolina 2. Well he`d jump and shout and hollar round Throw his Shine Jug down on the ground Grab his shotgun cause he thought he heard a sound He thought the Revenuers had him tracked He`d take off running and he wouldn`t look back It`d take him all day just to circle back around chorus--- 3. He had nobody that he called kin Even if he did they would never drop in Without him dropping a bead upon their heads He had no money ,so he had no cares About no body trying to get his share He`d rather be poor and given up for dead chorus and repeat last line three more times with power emphasis on the last time Acoustic lead break and end it!
