RETRO pop songs --- from another millennium and another galaxy.
My name's Pete. from Birmingham in UK-land. Nice to meet you ! I made a lot of very varied popsongs in the pre-digital age. I say they're McCartneyish, as I don't know how to categorize them. Allsorts. The description I use is RETRO I'm really a songwriter who wants others to perform these songs. So please bear that in mind as you grimace at my efforts to be acceptable. I'm especially concerned to write good lyrics, and if you do ever give some time to my stuff, I hope you will click to the lyrics and read those also. They don't come easy, you know. I'm plonking my songs here to give them a home, in the hope you might think they're not too bad. In fact, in the hope that you'll snap them up and I'll become an instant overnight megastar multi-millionaire. But failing that, I hope that you just like them. And if you do like one - I'd especially like it if you told me so. We all need strokes, eh ? Cheers ! Pete Songs-in-a-Bottle

Lyrics
I've got this friend of mine, he's into classical jam he likes to improvise, you know he don't give a damn he takes a rapping rip then sets it all on fire, then jumps into the flame he plies a symphony with similar desire, to him it's all the same when there is freezing cold, he likes to mix it with hot he'll empty out his soul and throw it all in the pot he'll take a solid theme of delicate devising, of dignity and grace and wrap it up inside some wanton improvising, then throw it in your face he browns the meanest toast, his phonogram plays what he likes the most 'I am what I am' oh, he pops it in a pan, and turns it into classical jam maybe it's minuets, maybe it's opera or blues or old baroque quartets, he shakes them all in his shoes he jiggles what he's got, to beggar all restriction well, that's his only rule sprinkle the pepper-pot, it's just like an addiction, he cannot keep it cool he browns the meanest toast, his phonogram plays what he likes the most 'I am what I am' oh, he pops it in a pan, and turns it into classical jam just pop it in a pan, and turn it into classical jam
