A pleasing ditty utilizing the universal scorning rhyme of children in a semi-surrealistic vein in the second person.

Acoustic rock and folk rock with country, blues, and American Songbook influences.
Formerly "Dr. C and the Stratocats," I'm now on a solo career as "Dr. C," but I had to change my stage name here because someone else had already claimed it. My music strives for melody above all else; I strive to make my songs memorable, so you can whistle a tune immediately. I see melody as the element most lacking in contemporaryr music. I love Sinatra and the Beatles, Gordon Lightfoot, Paul Simon, anyone who can write a memorable "tune."

Story behind the song
The tune usually pops into my head first, the words second. In this case I think the words were subconsciously influenced by thoughts about my younger brother.
Lyrics
Na Na Na Na Na Na na na na na na na na na na na You're chosen, elected, perfected for something you don't know Walking the streets in a Batman suit Treasuring all your cartoon loot For no one Burning all your Picasso stores Tired of Don Quixote's horse Forever You're drowning in your symphony Now listen to the children sing—they go Na na na na na na na na na na na You can't deny your destiny is history And there's nothing you can do Selling drinks at a football game Everyone thinks that you're too blame When the beer runs out Skating on an abandoned lake You'll never find your silver skates You pawned them You're drowning in your symphony Now listen to the children sing—they go Na na na na na na na na na na na It's over now—you've lost the Tao and cannot flow Inside the swerving stream Cowering on a bar stool perch Nursing a whiskey with a thirst You're running All your qualifications lied The jokes your resume supplied aren't funny You're drowning in your symphony Now listen to the children sing—they go Na na na na na na na na na na na
