An amalgam of anything that passes thru one ear and out the other -- see our Interview page for details.
In our music, you'll hopefully find everything -- rock, orchestral, trip-hop, spacey/ambient, whatever -- most times all in one tune!! Mwah-ha-ha.... We follow no labels, guidelines, trends -- we write what we feel at any given moment; industrial one moment, folk the next. You might hear smatterings of Floyd/Waters/Gilmour, a touch of Mike Nesmith, some Metheny, maybe even some Vangelis or 80's pop, classic rock, sheer noise, Air, Terje Rypdal, and if you really stretch in order to make us seem more relevant to the times, maybe some of The Shins, Sigur Ros, etc. Basically anything that makes a noise can inspire us.

Story behind the song
People always look for deeper meanings in what are really just coincidences. For a long time, every significant event in my life that involved the opposite sex took place during episodes of bizarre inclement weather. So, once, out of the blue, I walked past a girl I had had a huge crush on 3 years before (on the other side of the state). She didn't recognize me, and I couldn't be perfectly sure it was her, because she appeared to have grown at least 5 inches. And it was September, and snowing. [ed.note: Creepy, that significant contact/inclement weather tie-in thing. That's exactly what this work-in-no-hurry-to-progress, "Quad," is about. ("Free the Something-or-other 14! Or Was It '11'?") --JP]
Lyrics
She put a chill to the air when she came to town... Just a quick glance and the lights go down... (Oh yeah, oh yeah...) I thought it was her, but I couldn't be sure... I want to forget her, but there ain't no cure... (Oh no, oh no...) And now I see her face in every part of my life; and I see her eyes, though I'm far from home. And I feel the pain that twists like a knife; and I wonder if her appearance today is an omen... She sent a chill down my spine when she walked in the room... It was on her eyes and in her perfume... (Oh yeah, oh yeah...) I will never be sure if it was actually her... I'd like to check back, but it'll never occur... (Oh no, oh no...) And now I see her face in every part of my life; and I see her eyes, though I'm far from home. And I feel the pain that twists like a knife; and I wonder if her appearance today is an omen... ------------------- And now I see her face in every part of my life; and I see her eyes, though I'm far from home. And I feel the pain that twists like a knife; and I wonder if her appearance today is an omen...
