Original Instrumental Hit Music For Modern Media Productions: Film and TV, Video Games, and Recording Artist.
Originally influenced by the Hip-Hop sound of the mid 80's to early 90's as well as the Washington Metropolitan "Go-Go" music scene, Phil Strickland aka P-KINETIQ started out battling & rhyming on the school yard, then eventually played keyboards for a few local bands. By the spring of 98, he was inspired to test his abilities and embraced the art of Hip Hop music production. Over the next 11 years, casual encounters with Hip Hop from sampling to mixing and editing with some of the latest technologies would finally lead to the 2009 introduction of P-KINETIQ Instrumentals. Deeply rooted in spirituality and inspired by arguably some of the most conscious Hip Hop icons, it's no wonder that the tag, "the progression of hip hop...", is a tribute to its founders and innovators, as well as a symbol of P-KINETIQ's commitment to the continual evolution of the influential sound of Hip Hop music. Focused on the highest standard of modern media production music and with a catalog of over 300 instrumentals, P-KINETIQ is poised to take the Film & TV soundtrack industry by storm.

Story behind the song
Painting the picture....Imagine sitting in a warehouse in the middle of the Kuwaiti Desert. A building that was converted to house US Soldiers...coming home and going to war. My unit was on it's way back from a 14 month tour. We were tired, exhausted, frustrated, used, but excited to be so close to home (it's almost over troops).... I traveled the entire tour with an MC-909. So one morning while playing cards, I fired up the board, starting messing with the percussion and came up with that tight pattern you hear. Slowly, I began to build the track with other instruments and in minutes, the place was on fire, heads were turning, the beat thumped the warehouse all day! This track is dedicated to the 323rd MI Battalion out of Fort Meade, MD and the soldiers who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom (2003-2004)... And MOST Importantly, shown in the photo is Army Staff Sgt. Richard S. Eaton, Jr. who trained us for war and never returned home. God Bless you!
