Story behind the song
Originally this was a proper song called "Not Gonna Change for You", but I couldn't get the main vocals to sit nicely in the mix, so I just used the backing vocals. The string arrangement was partly inspired by The Verve's "Bittersweet Symphony". I'm quite proud of this one 'cos it sounds quite classy, which is what I was aiming for. I used a whole bunch of orchestral soundfonts and applied some gentle reverb on the strings, along with the sad piano chord progression. The original song was about how I refuse to compromise my principles in order to get a girlfriend. I may re-record the vocals one day, but this tune was too good to waste. :o)
