Gary Comeau recorded and released "Another Broken Lullaby" in 1999. The recording was comprised of vocals and acoustic guitar, both by Gary, recorded live in a chapel. In January 2009, I took these songs and added drums, electric guitars and bass to them, plus a few little production tricks. Also a keyboard track on "Travellin' Way too Heavy." This was all done quickly and cheaply on a PC. Adding drums AFTER a song has already been recorded (without a click track!) is a recipe for disaster. Also, I'm not a drummer and I used drum pads! So the songs shuffle along haphazardly, I'm sure, and it's all kinda "washy" and lo-fi. All the same, from a creative standpoint,I'm happy with the parts I've added, and I think the songs still have a charm to them. I hope it comes through!

Story behind the song
Hmm, more of a 'country rock' treatment, with some of the guitar work possibly verging on 'cornball. Wanted to leave this one more straight-ahead than some of the others. Added bass (doubled by a Tele track), two Teles doing sort of a cornball country bit. Drums straight-ahead and a little less flawed than on some of the other songs.
