Story behind the song
This song has gone through a LOT of evolutions. The original intent was something more new age in the lyric: "In the silence, near the center of our souls..." We've used the chorus in our Sunday worship services as a "gloria". I rewrote the verses several times until I settled on the current version. I LOVE the "Peter Townsend-like" guitar Randy added on the verse transition!
