Poetry come to life through Backpacker Hip-Hop
Lyrics
Sitting in my corner, I wilt another petal
my rosy cheeks a shadow of the passion never held.
For in this room of four walls and no door, I
can only find escape in the field of dying meadows.
O' blossom under the shining sun I wish to, for you...
I'll go away to another world, unroot myself I'll
flourish beautifully.
Fruits of love unspoilt, they whisper duty
but in my words, the freedom lies within me to make
the choice to be with you. I've intertwined my everything
I've interwoven into you, the art of foreign laughter
my breath in seems to breathe through you.
It seems I've come to dream through you, and
my will has come to feeding you, where has the passion
in my laughter gone. Why can't I breathe, or even
scream... adore me. Hold me in the world you bore me
though that darkened night.
The roots are choking, let them breath, O'
let them see the morning light. I don't care to be your
wilting rose, I don't care to see tomorrow's fight,
it will only be myself in front the mirror, with tears in my eyes.
