This sound clip was made by me after so many of us Boss GT-10 users complained about the "cocked-wah" or "honk" sounding effect made when using higher gain distortions on the Boss GT-10 guitar multi-effects unit. Please look under "comments" for this music clip for further info. Listen to the first simple note that I repeat a few times. It is most clear there.
This sample is, to me, the best of what I could get from the GT-10 when it comes to distortion. It is a really nice distortion sound but it is the ONLY thing I could get out of the unit when it comes to hi-gain. Even this patch has got the infamous GT-10 Cocked-Wah effect but to a minimum. Also, I could not get rid of the fizz/grainy sound that is always there on the higher gain distortions. It is also here minimally and makes this a nice patch. One distortion patch to work with is not enough, especially when it isn't free of these annoying artifacts either. This is a very usable patch, though.
