Acoustic rock and folk rock with country, blues, and American Songbook influences.
Formerly "Dr. C and the Stratocats," I'm now on a solo career as "Dr. C," but I had to change my stage name here because someone else had already claimed it. My music strives for melody above all else; I strive to make my songs memorable, so you can whistle a tune immediately. I see melody as the element most lacking in contemporaryr music. I love Sinatra and the Beatles, Gordon Lightfoot, Paul Simon, anyone who can write a memorable "tune."

Story behind the song
I met my true love in 1999. We married in 2000. We've been in love ever since, amazing. This is one of many love songs in my repertoire. Recorded rough in two takes, acoustic.
Lyrics
Still in Love If I were making a gratitude list I'd always begin with you You were the emerald I found in the mist My priceless, incomparable jewel I was out circling my own destiny Just like a vulture in flight When you appeared in the royal blue sky I knew the union was ri--ght When you held me, ri--ght when we kissed and I gathered your breath. There was no reason our lives should collide You lived in New York, me LA But when the sunglasses fell from my face Your lip-reading made it OK I was not looking for further romance, had already been married twice But when you summoned me into your bed I knew the union was ri--ght When you held me, ri--ght When we lay and I fingered your hips. A decade later and we're still in love So deep and so passionately I bring you roses most every week And you do so much more for me Yes there were rocky times we were afraid Of shredding the cord of our bond But we survived it, O glorious day, I knew the union was ri--ght When you held me, ri--ght When we kissed and I gathered your breath Your smile was sweeter than death I'd die in your body's caress.
