Story behind the song
We all deal with our own struggles, but one evening after dealing with the struggles of my Bible Study I began to wonder if I was enough. Could I really lead these people? I struggled with it as I went to bed, but God wouldn't let me sleep. That night He gave me this song in answer to their struggles and my own. He brought me back by reminding me who I am in Him. I am not enough, but He is. This conclusion may call for a new verse, but for now, this is my plea, "Who was I when You made me?" Demo recorded on a Zoom H4.
Lyrics
Who was I when You made me When you formed me in Your hand What did the dust look like before you breathed lifed in this man Paint an image of how You see me Though the filter of Christ I need to know what You see in me That's worth Your sacrifice And you say Don't you know who you are? You're always on my mind No matter how far you go Remember there is always hope
