Acoustic rock and folk rock with country, blues, and American Songbook influences.
Formerly "Dr. C and the Stratocats," I'm now on a solo career as "Dr. C," but I had to change my stage name here because someone else had already claimed it. My music strives for melody above all else; I strive to make my songs memorable, so you can whistle a tune immediately. I see melody as the element most lacking in contemporaryr music. I love Sinatra and the Beatles, Gordon Lightfoot, Paul Simon, anyone who can write a memorable "tune."

Lyrics
Doreen Doreen, Doreen Why do you treat me so mean? Doreen, Doreen You're a sorrow machine Doreen, Doreen Why don't you say what you mean? Doreen, Doreen Then your hands would be clean. Entwined within your tendrils I can't hold my breath all night I want to be enveloped By your ink-dark jet-black night Doreen, Doreen You're an evil queen Doreen, Doreen Controlling every scene Doreen, Doreen Star of stage and screen Doreen, Doreen I'm just fuel for your spleen You treat me like a leper Then you put me in your bed And spray my eyes with pepper And pound nails in my head You think I am expendable, Just part of your routine Perhaps I am too bendable But I reject your scene Doreen, Doreen Why do you treat me so mean? Doreen, Doreen You're a sorrow machine
