This is a strange hybrid...a conglomeration of five different musical ideas connected by bridges into one long instrumental rock piece. Progressive rock, new wave, country & western, and smooth jazz are all genres that play their parts here...

One With The Computer, a one-man MIDI-recording virtuoso heralding from Baltimore, Maryland, introduces a new and different breed of electronically produced videogame-influenced instrumental progressive rock for the masses. Using nothing but his own home computer, various pieces of installed software, outboard reverb effects, and his creative ingenuity, One With The Computer creates music reminiscent of many different styles with a sound like no other. One With The Computer aspires to use his music to broaden the horizons of others and to take them beyond the limits of their imaginations. "There is beauty in simplicity."

Story behind the song
"This piece was originally five different and individual short musical ideas I had written for the project Prog X..."Johnny's Sunday Night Lament", "Somewhere Deep In Arizona", "Saucers Have Landed In Texas!", "Joe McCool", and "Dances Of The Everlasting". While attempting to convert "Johnny" into a One With The Computer song, I ran way short of ideas to play off of the main theme, and taking note of the fact that the rhythms of the ideas previously mentioned were derivatives of each other, I decided that a 'medley' of sorts was in order here. Thus, "Just Another Cool Jam" was born. The name of the piece is derived from the fact that it's basically pieces of five 'jams' strung together. Nothing in particular inspired this tune...I just thought it sounded really cool and did it as a sort of fun little conglomeration. And hey, isn't having fun part of what making music's about? :)" --- One With The Computer
