I think i love synths since i was five years old. I heard Kraftwerk on the TV and i was amazed at the vocoders, the leads, and all that. Besides, i'm from Magallanes, so there were not too much things to do in 1979 but watching TV and listening to the radio. I'm forever hooked to the 80's pop music. That's a drug for me. Some say it is crap, but i can't but compose music that way.

Story behind the song
The pet shop boys are one of my greatest influences. I've listening to them since i was a preteen, and i always wanted to write the kind of music they do. It's a hard task to imitate certain style without copying or falling into plagiarism, but i think that i had achieved it very well. It contains everything (but the vocals) that a pet shop boys song could contain -syncopated rythms, vocoders, dreamy pads, a rythmic piano and soft, jazzy guitars... However after a while it becomes a song on its own. The chords will make you recall certain PSB songs, but they aren't exactly the chords they used. It's a bit long, anyways (more than eight minutes), but it will certainly put you in a relaxed state. It will clear your mind. It will clear your bathroom and tiles without effort. It will make you lose ten pounds in a few weeks (results may vary). :-) Well, Neil and Chris, if you are there, this one goes for you. May you live fifty more years composing the best dance music in the world. -------------------------------- * The phrase "i was in the crowd" is real. I actually was in the crowd, in 1994, when they came to Chile to perform in the Estadio Chile. Actually i managed to get to the front row :)
