An acoustic artist, vocal and piano music, soaring melody lines and linking chords. Music is meant to be beautiful- I hope I'm getting there!
Hi, David Sims, 17, from Bedfordshire in England. I have been writing music since I was 13. I was in a band once but work on my own stuff solely these days. Play trombone, piano, guitar and cornet and sing on my own tracks.

Story behind the song
I visited the Mudlark pub under London Bridge in September 2008 and was charmed by the romance of the place, tucked away out of view from the main road and in the shadow of Southwark cathedral (namechecked in the song). The lyrics of the song were written at 2am on Thursday 20 November 2008 at York university. I was staying there overnight for an interview, and I found myself awake and sitting at the window of my room, overlooking the quiet campus. I think this contributed to the dreamy quality of the song.
Lyrics
Under London Bridge, where the music lives We'll take off to the skies as the mudlark cries On the London ground, where poets dreams rebound We'll wake up far away, on a perfect day The town has told its tale to all who wonder past This is just anther story, lets make this one last For weeks or months or years Where the river sleeps, enshrouded in the deep Lie the dreams of everyone that's come and gone Under cathedral spires, we can end up higher We know what the future holds, or so we're told The town has sung its song to all who wander through We can sail away, the moon, me and you And the stars, away into the blue Under London Bridge, where the symbols live We'll take off to the skies as the mudlark cries
