Hi, David Sims, 17, from Bedfordshire in England. I have been writing music since I was 13. I was in a band once but work on my own stuff solely these days. Play trombone, piano, guitar and cornet and sing on my own tracks.

Story behind the song
This song was written on Sunday 29 May 2005 when I was 13 (and very impressionable!). I remember borrowing a Guns n Roses best of from a friend of mine on the 26th and being struck by the rhythms of Sweet Child O' Mine (which became an integral part of this song). The original song lasted seven minutes and was written on Sibelius. It had an extra chorus and a guitar solo but there are limitations to playing it on the piano! I remember the date because it was written the day before the May Bank Holiday. I don't know why the lyrics took the barren tone and why they were written from a womans viewpoint, whenever I think of the setting of the song I think of an American prairie... seems wierd but try it! The chord sequence was based on the song "Jade Blue Green" by Tim Cole. Used with permission.
